Preview is black :S

I am making animations using movie maker and i can import my image files, and
put them onto the storyboard, but when i press 'Play' the preview plays but
there is no image:S it is just black. The timeline moves and the dot on the
preview moves, but there is no video of images. I have tried this on my
friends movie maker (the same version) and it works. Mine isn't tho...When i
save what i have done (without being able to veiw it anyway) into a .wma
format, i play it using media player 10 and it works. I can see the animation
moving. but i cannot while making the movie using movie maker

Can anyone help? plzz..?

What format is the animation file?... codecs needed to view or work with
video files vary by the system.. your friend could have one that you don't.
