I want to set my child's computer up so that they cannot exit from the web
site that automatically loads when the computer starts but can't figure out
how to prevent them from exiting. Is there some way to do this?

Hi Rob,
Which you need is the Content advisor, here are some info:
HOW TO: Use the Internet Explorer 6 Content Advisor to Control Access to Web
Sites in Internet Explorer
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310401
Using Content Advisor

HTH.

I don't think that the Content Advisor is going to do what the OP wants unless he blocks every
available web site except one.
I would recommend he look at "net nanny". (www.netnanny.com)

Sorry; OS is XP SP2 with all updates and IE is ver
6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.070227-2254. Ideally I would prefer that she not
be able to even shut down IE or minimize it. Is there a way to limit program
control in her profile?

Thanks for the links. I have made all the suggested changes in the Registry
but the only one that seems to work is the "NoBrowserClose" option. I am
also trying to eliminate the Toolbar but after a reboot the toolbar and all
its options are back. Any ideas as to why the toolbar can't be turned off.

Perhaps... IEAK is the better way:

All the changes may be in vain if the child ever finds out what happens when
you turn the power off.
They always seem to learn 10-100 times faster than adults and that's before
kindergarten.
