preventing URL wrap deactivation

I frequently send people URL links just to have the URL
wrap causing the link to deactivate. How does one prevent
this or "pre-wrap a link"?

Send your messages in HTML format, not plain text

Thanks Sue, for the response.

I do send the message in HTML format. My issue is that I
send an activated link to someone. The recepient's email
program wraps the URL breaking the URL. That is, the URL
appears to be activated but only up to the point of the
wrap. The recepient clicks on the link which does not
work. They have to manual cut and paste the link.

I have received emails where a link has wrapped but is
still activated... I wish I knew how to do this.
Regards,
Troy

Outlook does this just fine. This sounds like a problem on the other end -- like either the recipient's mail program is stripping the HTML content or something like that. If you can get them to send you the HTML source of the message as it looks on their end, you might learn more about what's going on.
