Preventing the white line around exported images

When using PPT 2003, I could edit images in PPT, right click on the image,
and select "Save as Picture" to export the image as a JPEG, TIFF, etc. I
recently upgraded to Office 2007 and when I save images this way there is a
white line bordering the image. Is there any way to prevent this border?

I just ran into this as well. I haven't looked into preventing it yet - but
you can always crop it out using a number of editing tools. If you are
pulling it back into PPT, just use the built in crop tool.

I've not run into this. Is there anything particular about the images this
happens to, or does it happen to all of them?

Any chance the presentation has a white or light background (at least behind
the images themselves)?
