Preventing Shift Key Access

Does anyone know how to disable holding down the shift key
while opening an access database in which allows users to
access the backend of the database.

You need to create an AllowBypassKey property in the database, and set it to
False. This is discussed in http://www.mvps.org/access/modules/mdl0011.htm

http://www.mvps.org/access/general/gen0040.htm if you're going to try it!)
