Preventing programs from starting

Can someone tell me how to prevent a program from starting
up automaticaly and bootup in Windows 2000 Pro? I know it
can be done but I don't know how to do it. In Win98 you
would use config.sys but that does not exist in Win2K.
Any help would be appreciated.

Get a copy of msconfig.exe from a WXP box, or download
RegCleaner.exe from www.jv16.org. Both will allow you to
remove programs from the startup list.

RegCleaner is a good app but there are better ones for controlling start-
up programs. I personally like StartupCPL:
