How do I prevent Outlook from changing my calendar based on imcoing
appointments/updates/cancellations? I only want my calendar changed as
result of me 'accepting" the requests.

Tools->Options->Calendar Options->Resource Scheduling. Uncheck the option
to automatically accept appointments.

By the way ...The "Automatically Accept Appointments" option IS NOT/ WAS NOT
checked-- and in fact the appointment changes do not show "accepted" on my
calendar (until I formally accept them), but all the same, the changes have
been applied and seemingly cannot be reversed. This is most annoying when
changes or cancelations are applied to meetings that occured in the past.
