Preventing an App from adding itself as Startup

I have an app, Skype, which I use, but I definitely don't
want it adding itself as a startup program. The app
itself does not allow this (it always adds itself even
when you tell it not to).

So... I can't figure out how to prevent this via
AntiSpyware. I always get this little message telling me
that the app has been allowed tp add itself as a Startup
program due to my "previous settings" or somesuch. I was
never asked if I wanted this app to be allowed to add
itself to startup. How in the world do I prevent it?
How do I say "NEVER ALLOW THIS APP TO ADD ITSELF TO
STARTUP". Anything like that would be great.
Whatever "right" it thinks I gave for it to do so needs
to be removed.

Any help will be appreciated.

Try this way - run msconfig.exe and deselect Skype from startup
applications.

That just removes it from startup. The problem is that
the app will simply add itself again and again, every
time I run it. I need to prevent it from adding to
startup. Antispyware has a "checkpoint" and knows
exactly when the app does so, but there is no way for me
to choose to prevent the action. Why have a "checkpoint"
without allowing the user to do something at that
checkpoint?

Hello Kepler,

download last Skype version and prevent the start in de options menu!
