Prevent hardware install

I have an old ATI All-In-Wonder card that I wish to continue to use as
my graphics display card. However, I would like to disable the tuner
and capture devices. (They never worked to my satisfaction, and I have
since acquired an external USB capture device, with hardware mpeg
encoding.)

I've tried uninstalling the ATI tuner and capture stuff in the device
manager, but XP just re-detects and re-installs the devices and the
drivers the next time I reboot. I don't feel like replacing the
All-In-Wonder with a display only card at this time, so I'd like to
know if there is any way to get XP to stop re-installing the stuff.

If those portions of the card are listed separately in Device Manager, you
could right click on them and select Disable. XP will still list them but
other than that, it *should* ignore them.
