prevent disk drives loading

New hard disk = new XP pro installation. The knackerd HDD had C: & D:
partitions & DVD. During new XP install HDD 0 installed as F: . OK, I'll
live with that. But, C: & D: start each time as USB removable drives. Can I
prevent this?

Maybe an option of your hd controler, particularly if its a sata controler.
Sometimes updateing the mobo chipset drivers, from mobo site, removes this
option.

You can assign different drive letters to the card reader:
