Prevent Dates and Proper names from wrapping in the middle - WORD

Guest

In my letter I have a date that I would like to prevent from wrapping to the
next line of text. Is there a code to create a space between two words that
holds the two words together like one?

For example I would like the date to appear on one line:

January 16, 2006

and not:

January 16,
2006

I know years ago, in Multi-mate it was called a "hard space".

Ctrl-Shift-Spacebar creates a non-breaking or hard space.

WOW! Thank you for such a quick answer. I asked everyone in my office and
searched myself for a good hour. You both answered my question in less than
5 minutes. Thank you SO much.
