prevent copying a ppt

Hello,

Is there a way to set security so that you can share your
presentation with others, but don't want them to have the
ability to copy the presentation.

I know there's a way to prevent others from editing, but
that doesn't prevent them from copying the file.

Any suggestions? Thanks!
 
Have Screen Capture, Will Copy.

Bottom line, if I can put it on the monitor I can copy it.

Prevent Copying??????

If such a capability existed, it would put an end to
piracy! We can't have that! LOL

On the other hand, if you did some investigating on
Encryption software, you may find some freebies or
shareware that will allow you to encrypt the file so that
the people you want to view it will require a password
and the un-encryption files. Anyone else would not be
able to open the file so for all intents and purposes, it
is useless to them.

Just curious ... even if you convert it to a Flash movie and posted in
on the web? I would think that might eliminate most of the static
screen capture methods out there, but are there comparable *movie*
capture utilities?

Camtasia Studio does screen capture (not screen shots) and converts to AVI
and then to Flash if you want. You could also use Windows Media Encoder and
save to WMV.

Do you want to prevent copying the info in the presentation or do you want
to prevent them from copying the PPT file itself?

You can't prevent copying the file. The best you can do is to control what
they do with it.
