Hi all-

This more of a "getting rid of annoying message" problem rather then an
actual problem itself.

I have a Toshiba Tecra S1 with an Intel Centrino chipset (i.e. uses the
Intel Wireless Pro mini-PCI card). One of the cool features of this
notebook is that I can turn off the wireless antenna with the flip of a
switch on the actual notebook. This is for when I'm connected via etherenet
and don't need the wireless active. The problem with this is that once I
turn the antenna off, a little balloon shows up in system tray telling me
wireless is no longer available. I then have to click the 'x' on the
balloon in order for it to go away.

Does anyone know of a way to prevent the balloon from coming up at all? I
know it's minor but it's annoying to be in the middle of something and
having the balloon keep popping up.

Thanks!

I don't have a Centrino system, but I think this will work: before
turning off the antenna, right click the wireless network connection
and disable it.
