Hi

I'm using Excel Xp.
Normally whenever I'm finishing entering my data into a
cell, I press 'ENTER' and it'll move to the cell below it,
which I like. However, now when I'm finished entering my
data and press 'ENTER' it just stays highlighted in the
same cell I am in and I don't like it. It's very annoying
to me.
For example, normally I would enter my data in cell A2 and
press enter, moves down to the next cell - A3. But now, I
enter data into cell A2, press enter...stays in cell A2.

How would I fix this??

Thanks a lot

Jenna,

Go to the Tools menu, choose Options, then the Edit tab. There,
check the "Move selection after Enter" setting and set the
direction to Down.

Try a quick diagnostic?

Click Tools > Options > Edit tab

Is the box for "Move selection after Enter" empty?

Check the box > Set the Direction as "Down" > OK
