Hello,
I have prepared a presentation for publishing to the web
which contains slides that have PNG images linked to
files on my PC. Is it possible to upload the linked files
along with the published presentation so that the images
appear correctly when viewd by soebody else's computer.
I've tried simply doing that but a red X appears instead
of the image when viewed on anybody else's computer.
Obviously it works ok on my computer because that's where
the linked files are. I'd just like to check if it's
possible to do in principle and if so, how to go about it.
Thank you

Not if they are *linked* to files on your computer. I would suggest that you
insert your images from file into your presentation. Then when you publish to
HTML, PowerPoint puts the images into the proper folder, so when you put it on
your web site everyone can view it. Here is an example

It might be possible to do it, in theory, but what's the benefit? Either way,
the end user has to download the same amount of data, whether it's in linked
images or in embedded ones.

This explains a lot more about how various types of links work:
Links break when I move presentation (and at other times)

Our free FixLinks demo ( http://get.pptools.com ) will help convert your linked
images to embedded ones if you decide to do that, or can remove the paths from
the image links.
