Preserve Links

I have multiple access 2000 databases that are all in the
same directory on a W2K server - I'm migrating that server
to a newer rack-mounted server, and have copied the
directory containing the databases to the new server.
These servers are also web servers that host a website
that interacts with the databases.

The problem is that almost everything works right on the
new server, except some of the access queries/forms. No
code was changed, and the correct System DSN was created
on the new server. In some of the databases, there are
external links to tables in other databases. It appears
that the links have been 'broken' on the new server. Is
there something I need to do to preserve those
links/relationships when I copy the databases to a new
server? Is that possible?

If the links were established via a "share", and the PCs still "share" that
network server using the same mapping, I'd guess they'd still work. If the
links were established via the "network", using UNC naming, and the new
server does not have the same name, the links would be broken.

You can use the Tools to refresh the links.
