Hello all,

When i use the powerpoint presentator to show my slides with notes on
my notebook, and the slideshow on a projector at the same time, the
slides on the projector are shown earlier (3-5 sec.) than locally on
my notebook.
So the audience is seeing the slides earlier then me. Is there a
solution to change this, so i can see the slides a little earlier then
my audience?

Thanks in advance for your answers :-)

Edwin

Hi Edwin,

The "PowerPoint Presenter" add-in is an obsolete tool that came out of,
what was then called, the NetShow 3.0 team. That team never made any
changes to the add-in and it was provided "as-is" (not supported). I hope
that someone else in this group has used it and will be able to give you
some insight based on their own experiences with it.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) have some suggestions about
what kind of "remote presenting" scenarios you would like PowerPoint to
support in the future (without having to resort to add-ins), along with
your expectations about how those features might behave and/or perform,
don't forget to send your feedback to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions)

If your notebook supports multiple monitors (most do) and you're using PPT
2000 or later, then you can just configure your show to play on the
secondary monitor. Then you can give up using that "presentor" add-in
altogether.

You'll have to use your Control Panel>Display Settings option, and enable
the multiple monitors. The how-to depends on which version of Windows
you're using.
