Presentation Timeout time in 2007 ?

It seems that in power point 2007, the presentation is timed out after 5
minutes and quits the presentation to return to the power point design mode
on its own. It never did that on the 2003 version. I tried to look at all the
possible windows or application settings, but to no avail. Seems to be some
kind of bug in 2007 ???
Is there any fix for it ? I greatly would appreciate any insights into this
issue.
Thank you.

Is there a mail program or a virus scanner running in the background?
Usually it's one of them trying to get the focus.

Best regards,
Ute

Hi,

In addition to what Ute has correctly outlined, please check that your
slideshow is not set up as Kiosk mode, as it will restart after 5 minutes of
inactivity. Now, this is not exactly what is happening, so if you can
confirm the slideshow setup as kiosk, it could be a bug. Just a thought.

Where do you check if the application is in Kiosk mode ? Also, there is no
mail program on that machine and a virus scanner is there but is not active.
I don't think it is the virus scanner. Any other things you might think about
?
Thanks.

Slide Show tab, Set Up Slide Show. See if the "Browse at Kiosk" box is
checked.

Just a thought, but are you using a wireless mouse or keyboard? If so have a
go without and see if the problem persists.
