presentation not opening in IE

I have been asked to investigate a problem and currently
have only the following information.
Basically a user is having problem opening powerpoint
presentations via website link. All I know at the moment
is that they are running on NT4.0. The presentation
doesn't open and they get flash of a message box/pop-up
appearing and that's it. Any ideas ?????

It would help to know

- the URL of the site and a description of how to locate the specific link
- the exact text of the messagebox/popoup
