Hi all

I have a problem. I am about to give a presentation and when I try to
switch my laptop to the lcd (Fn and F8), it says 'presentation mode off' so i
cannot display my laptop screen on the LCD.

I have ran many presentations and have never seen this message before and
have no idea why it won't work.

Has anybody seen this message before or know how I can get around it?

I have a Sanyo LCD and Dell D620 laptop.

My presentation is due to start in 10 mins, any help would be appreciated!

Thank you.
Louise

Hi,

I wonder if it is a power thing? Or try Slideshow, set up show. Is it set to
run on 2 monitors?

This from Help:

If Control Panel is not already visible, click the Start menu, point to
Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click the Display icon.

On the Settings tab, select the monitor icon for the presenter's monitor
(usually 1), and then select the Use this device as the primary monitor
check box.

Someone else might know more in the morning. It's getting time the kangaroos
were put to bed.

You might want to look in slide show < set up show and look at "display slide
show on". Is it set to monitor 1? (If your graphics card doesn't support
mutiple montors you may not see this but 620D's usually have nvidia quadras
which do)

Hi John

After trying the process it still does not work as the presentation
mode is still off. How can we get it on.
