Is it possible to have a presentation auto-loop a series
of slides, then go to manual advance of slides for the
rest of the presentation?

Example - 1-2-3-1-2-3-1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8
with 1, 2, & 3 automatically cycling, then a keystroke
breaks it out of the auto cycle and goes to slide 4,
where all remaining slides are changed with a keystroke.

I don't know how better to explain this. Does it make
sense? Is it possible? It currently is done as 2
presentations, but I don't want to have to display the
Windows screen while changing presentations.

There are two methods listed at
http://www.echosvoice.com/animationfeatures.htm (last paragraph). TAJ's
method is more elegant, but the FAQ Loop, which uses custom shows within
PPT, will work in a pinch.
