First off, apologies for my grumpiness - this hasn't been a good week, but
that isn't an excuse.

I have decided to go with the P4C800-E Deluxe as the other didn't have
ethernet. What I now need to know is the difference between the new
'Prescott' processors and the HT P4 'C's currently available. I'm sure I
can't be the only one coveting an 'Extreme' but, at £600, that's my entire
budget!

Can I use a Prescott in the aforementioned board - ASUS's site appears to be
a little ambiguous, as does Intel's (I'm looking at a 3 or 3.2)?

I'm just interested to know how they compare - does the former have more
cache (from what I can find it appears to have the same 512KB L2).

Finally will my current PSU (Chieftec 360W) be sufficient - I've not
budgeted for a new supply.

Thanks, folks.

You made a good choice , I have the p4c800e and Im overclocking from 200(x4)
FSB to 230(x4) with complete stability . That is giving me a total of
920Mhz FSB and I'm using a stock heatsink with no heat problems. My advice
would be to get a 3.0 and overclock to 230(x4) to get the FSB increase. You
should have PC4000 RAM to do this with stability.( I recommend OCZ) Arctic
Silver 5 on the stock heat sink will be sufficient. With my system Im
getting just under 5.5 GB/s memory bandwidth. Completely stable.
