I just started on the computer and would like to know how to prepare and print off an invoice

Hello
Try Microsoft Works, look in your programs and see if you have it, go to MS
Works Tasks and see if there is an Invoice Template

print off an invoice

If your system came with Windows and some software pre-installed, take some
time to explore everything. You may have received a program that you can
use to create your invoices but won't know that until you've checked out
what you have.

Every program has a help file. Go through the start menu. Launch a program.
Press F1 or click on Help. You don't have to read the whole help file now
but should at least take a look at the "overview" pages that will explain
in general what a particular program is used for.

If you find a program suitable for creating an invoice (a simple invoice
could be done in a word processor such as Word or Wordpad) type one up.
Save the file to your hard drive so that you have a digital record of the
invoice. Then use File> Print to send the document to the printer.

To print an invoice or any other "office" or business type
form you need an application program such as Microsoft
Office, Microsoft WORKS (not as many functions and cheaper)
or some other program for accounting such as QuickBooks,
Quicken.

You should see what programs you now have on tour computer,
if all you have is Windows you will need to buy something,
suggest that you look through your computer documents and
any CDs that came with it (the labels on the CDs or the
packages) to see what you bought. You can go to an office
store such as Office Depot or Office Max and get some advice
or better ask your accountant what they would prefer you
use.

A free option is to download OPEN OFFICE from

I have also seen a sales invoice template in Excel. Visit website and
