I use both but wouldn't begin to recommend one or the other.... the learning you do on each is applicable to the other in that digital video editing has so much in common
Premiere, being a higher-end software package, has many, many more features than Movie Maker 2. But with the features comes a much bigger and longer learning curve.
Start with MM2, because it's a great lead-in to digital video editing, then
if your needs go beyond its capabilities start to learn Premiere. I don't
know if you mean 6.5 or Pro, but in either case you will have to be patient
as it's not as easy to get into as MM2.
Can anyone tell me which one I should concentrate on learning. Such as the
advantages or disadvantages of either one. Thanks for any help
Kevin
For me the decision was easy. I have XP on my system so I already had MM2
there and ready to use. I had no problems (yet) capturing, saving, editing
and outputting video. I initially spent about four hours playing with it
and I got results suitable for me. I have no doubt that Adobe Premiere has
many more features but I don't need them at the present time and I have
become very frugal that last few years. I was a professional still
photographer many years ago, these moving pictures with sound coming from my
computer tickle me.
