Prefix in Outlook

Hello

Outlook 2003 with Exchange 2003 on a Windows XP SP3

When I reply to an email in Outlook I get the following Prefix. "you replied on
this mail on...". If I go to OL\Tools\Options\Email Options I do not have anything
at all set up for Prefix. I have been trying for a while to figure out on how to
remove this unwanted Prefix when answering to an email. I never had anything at all
ever setup in both Prefix boxes.
Also if I start answering an email and I change my mind and I get out by pushing Esc
I then also see this exact same Prefix.

How do I remove this unwanted Prefix for good ????

It isn't a prefix, it is an information message to you telling you that
you've done something with this email. It is not part of the message, no
one else sees it, and I don't believe there's any way to prevent it from
appearing.

The issue that I see it, even if I did not reply to that mail:

Open a mail
Press reply
Cancel the reply with esc

The "you replied on..." message is still there, and if I check the mails
later in a couple of month, I see this message and start looking for the
reply I've sent, which, of course, doesn't exist.

Correct. As soon as you click Reply, Outlook adds that information to the
InfoBar, whether or not the reply actually gets sent. There's nothing you
can do about it.
