We have a windows 2000 domain with windows 2000/2003 DC. It is running in
windows 2000 native mode. We have four sites running in one domain. They
are UK, Spain, Germany and Belgium.
I am having issues with our Master domain list. I want to make sure a
specific UK domain controller is always the prefered Master Browser. I have
added the below registry change:
Hive: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Key: SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Browser\Parameters
Type: REG_SZ
Name: IsDomainMaster
Value: True
But still I get some users complaining that they cannot see list if
computers from other sites in the network listing. They are mainly
computers from Belgium. I have all other DC's in other sites and the above
registry change is set false on them.
Is there anything else I need to check and can you tell which machine is
acting as the master browser.
