Hi Steve,

Yes. Here's how you would install a Sidewinder controller in XP, since
XP uses built-in drivers and ingame settings instead of profile/software:

To install your controller in XP: Plug it in, click Start / Control Panel /
Switch to Classic view if you haven't already / click Game Controllers
Click Add... / Select Microsoft Sidewinder Auto Detect / OK / OK.
