Hi all,
I have a customer site that currently has a mixed mode domain structure - 1
x W2K Server & 1 x NT4 Server.
Problem is that the Domain name (pre-Windows 20000) for the W2K server is
"LINK" and the actual domain name is "COMPANYLINK.CO.UK".
Not sure why, when set up, it wasn't given the same name without the .CO.UK
(unless it's to do with 8 character limitations) but I'd like to change it
so it's "COMPANYNAME".
Does anyone know how to do this - or even if it's possible, or am I correct
in thinking that there's an 8 char limit to pre-W2K op systems.
All/Any help VMA.
