Except in Europe, where the full standalone version of Home Premium (andIan D said:Both 32 and 64 bit versions are included. The half price pre-order
sale is for upgrade versions of Home Premium, and Professional
only. Ultimate and full versions are full price.

No. The 32-bit and 64-bit versions have to be on separate DVDs because of
differences in hardware driver support, not because of licensing. Each
disk includes multiple versions (Home..., Ultimate), but we can't boot
into 32-bit and install any 64-bit operating system from that desktop.
Vista Ultimate comes with two DVD-ROMs in one package with one Product
Key. The owner can use the one PK with either the 32-bit or the 64-bit
disk. Versions other than Ultimate come with a single DVD; if the buyer
wants both bit-versions, he must order the second disk separately.
Unfortunately, Jay, the Microsoft Store pre-order page (

answers most questions, but ignores this one. :>(

ultimate is bitlocker and 35 languages?

Jay said:Exactly. You can buy an encryption prog for what...30 bucks???
With Win 7 Pro Upg at half price and Ultimate only available
at full price, that comparison list makes opting for Pro a no
brainer, unless you need BitLocker and more than one language
built in.

reinstalling everything.
I hope I am not that lazy, though.
