Pre 2000 Username

Hi

We have users using Outlook web mail and when they authenticate against AD
they use the pre 2000 username is there anyway to increase the default length
above 20 characters or force them to use the 2003 ad username?

thanks in advance for any help.
 
As far as I can remember, it is possible to use UPN for authenticating with
OWA.
