Hi,

I have a Windows 2000 Server and 2 Windows 2000 VPN clients.

Both machines can connection to the VPN and be authenticated via PPTP. All
is good.
However both machines can only ping themselves and the server. They cannot
ping each other.

I want to use a special application that enables one client to connect
directly to each other.

e.g. PC1 (192.168.50.10) TCP:3100 Connects to PC2 (192.168.50.11) TCP 5900
(Fixed) for example.

Is there some settings in the Windows 2000 RRAS that prevents this type of
TCP connection from taking place.

Is there any way I can make this work .. Is it the same with Windows 2003
RRAS?

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Ward

I am having the same problem.
Public IP to firewall/router port forward Nat to internal address. Single
nic in server (192.168.1.99) Default gateway for network is 192.168.1.1.
Handing out IP's for the vpn connection of 192.168.1.51-55. I can Connect
fine but can only ping the RRAS server and myself. Can terminal service the
RRAS server and ping other addresses fine. I imagine it is IP Routing but
don't want to mess up internal network from accessing the internet or the
server so am a little afraid to make any changes. Any help appreciated.

Have you enable IP routing? Also can you ping the client form the server?
