Hey Folks any help is appreciated.

I have a RAS PPTP Win2K Server setup and it works great,
however I want to setup a secondary RAS PPTP server as a
backup, but only have one public IP Address. I have
decided the best way to do this is to alter the default
TCP listening port from 1723 on the backup server. Does
anyone know how to change this port on the server and
client machines??

Hi Todd,

You cannot change the port for PPTP. It is hard coded. You'll need to get
another public IP address for this to work.

Thanks,
Marc

Thanks Marc,
THat explains why I haven't been able to find any information
regarding changing the default PPTP Port. I am having dificulty trying
to get the VPN server to route traffic to another machine on the LAN
192.168.1.X, I have checked and the route statements exist, why will
it not route traffic to the other machine??

I have a NAT Firewall that supports up to 8 tunnels, I have the
firewall setup for port forwarding and VPN Pass through. I have the
VPN Server giving out IP's on a different subnet 192.168.2.X. My home
network is 192.168.250.X.
