Dear all,

Does anyone knows how to setup the VPN server on a Dlink DI-804HV? I've set
the PPTP server as the following:

IP Address of the router: 192.1.1.1
PPTP server: Enabled
Virtual IP of the PPTP: 192.168.2.1
Authentication Protocol: MSCHAP

I've put the Tunnel Name as 'Test' and User Name and Password.

In the Client (Win2k), I've setup the properties of the VPN as:

in Security Tab, selected Advanced, Data Encryption=Optional Encryption
I allow only MS-CHAP

Type of VPN server i'm calling i put 'Automatic',

Then i try to connect using the user name and password specified just now.
After verifying User Name and Password, it disconnected and Error 628: The
connection was closed occurs.

in router log:

13:37:18 [START_CTRL_RQST] ESTABLISHED; index=0.
13:37:55 pptp_call_destroy>destory call 0 from tunnel 0
13:37:55 [pptp_call_destroy]: Closing PPTP call; [tunn=0], [call=0]
13:37:55 receive stop_ctrl_conn_rqst, tunnel 0
13:37:55 [peer](1)general request to clear.
13:37:55 [pptp_conn_destory]: Closing PPTP connection; index=0

What to do? i've opened the Port 1723 also.

I should not open the port 1723 because it is build-in VPN. If you do open the port 1723, where you point to? This could be the problem.

the port 1723 has taken out, still cannot get access.
