Hi,

Like many I support various customer sites over pptp. With some sites
however to lose connection to my local network drives. I think this could be
related to both sites using the same subnet.

(Sites on different subnet don't cause this problem at all).

Is it possible to sort this out without changing a subnet at ether site
(assuming this is the cause).

Thanks
Scott.

You need to renumber one of the networks if, in fact, they're using the same
subnets. Can you post some more details? (like IP addresses of and subnet
masks of both networks).

That's how IP routing works. If machines are in the same IP subnet, they
are assumed to be on the same segment. Traffic will not be sent to a router,
but the machine will try to deliver it locally using hardware addressing.

i thought as much. we are both using the same subnet range 192.168.0.0.

thanks for response.
scott.
