Hi,
Is it possible to configure the routing & remote access service to use
certificates for PPTP clients? Does anyone have a discription on how this
can be configured?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

Not for pptp clients, you have to use l2tp. See:

Actually its very easy, just select EAP as your authentication method in
RADIUS and on your client-side.
I have found Certificates based PPTP VPNs are the most reliable and secure
way of securing a VPN, provided you use a hardware based certificate
container like a Rainbow iKey.
