I am trying to find a software package to convert Powerpoints (w\ linked
videos). Seems all the ones I have tried I get a reduction in quality and a
slight jerk occurred throughout the converted playback of video.

The videos quality is great and video plays fine prior to the conversion but
it seems after the conversion is when the quality issues occur. I have a
NVIDIA GeForce 7950 GT video card which should be good enough for the
conversation and have tried different resolution and turning off hardware
acceleration.

Was wondering if anyone can recommend any software packages I could try or
any special computer settings.

Any help would be appreciated....thank you!

Hi,

Converting PowerPoint to video sounds like a good way to share
presenatation on Youtube. Try to search PowerPoint to Video covnerter
in Google, you will get more useful ones.
For my part, I often convert my presentation to Flash movie (using
PPT2Flash, http://www.sameshow.com/powerpoint-to-flash.html#110) and
upload to my blog for web sharing. Here is a Flash movie which is made
from PowerPoint, you could go and see it.

I do not convert the videos. You always get reduced quality. I use Camtasia
Studio, www.techsmith.com, to record the presentation, but only those slides
without video. I then split this presentation-video and insert the video
files. Then I produce the whole video and burn it to DVD. Thus you retain
the original quality of the linked videos.

Best regards,
Ute
