Hi,

How do I keep a line straight during resize?

In previous versions of PPT, you cuould hold down Shift while resizing a
line to keep it straight. In PPT2007, Shift keeps the line straight during
initial drawing, but not during resize.

Thanks,

Mark

It works for me here. Are you using beta version of PowerPoint 2007?

I'm using RTM Office 2007 on RTM Vista Ultimate.

I was just playing with it some more and am having more success.

When I resize while holding Shift, the line actually will stay straight as
long as I am careful to keep the mouse pointer right on top of the existing
line - if I move off the line even a little bit, the line shoots off to
infinity (i.e. suddenly becomes really long).

Can you confirm that behavior on your install?

Thanks,

Mark

Kazang, that's weird. Confirmed it here.

Will pass it on up the line.

Thanks!

Resizing an existing line is something I do a lot, so I'd like it to require
less precision.

I'd put it more like "I'd like it to be less buggy" but yeah. Eye to eye on
that <g>

Try rightclick, Size and Position and adjust the width manually. A bit more
trouble but it doesn't go wild on you.
