I am trying to distrubute a large file that is supposed
run music throughout the entire show all 165 images.
Total running time is 3:27.

My goal it to put it on a CD and distribute. What is the
best way to do this?

I tried linking the file but it always looks for the
source. As an example it looks to my E drive for the
music. Hw do I put the music on a CD and have ppt look to
the cd instead of the "E" drive.

Not sure if my second attempt to accomplish this is more
complicated.

I tried to embed the wav file and when played it opens an
audio player and waits for the song to finish before
going to the next slide.

Finally, my hope was to distribute as a pps files and not
a ppt file, thinking that if I save it as a pps file the
music would automatically follow.

Thanks in advance for any help

For distribution I would recommend embedding a .wav file. But PPT defaults
to embedding .wav files that are under 100k, you can increase this to
50,000k (5 megs) by going to TOOLS >> OPTIONS >> GENERAL tab and typing in
50,000 in the embed audio files box. Get additional info on audio files in
PPT here: http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00047.htm

I am not certain why the audio player opens, perhaps a non-standard audio
file? Get the info on what audio files PPT can run here:

Not sure if this helps but...on "custom animation" next to the music file name, click the arrow and select "effect options". In the "effects" tab, under "stop playing" select "after" and indicate how many slides you want it to play through. I have only been able to do this with a disc in my E drive. I haven't been able to figure out how to put my powerpoint on a disc with the music linked or embedded so that I can distribute it. Any suggestions?
