PPT2000 and Excel

I've linked an Excel worksheet to a PPT show .. When the
worksheet opens it is blank .. When I manually open the
file from the blank Excel file and then close it the PPT
show continues as programed. I noticed that when the
Excel file is loading, I can see the linked file loading
but then a blank Excel file opens. What puzzles me if I
link to another worksheet it displays. Any idea what I
am doing wrong.

All the files are in the same folder.

Select the sheet in PPT then have a look at Edit, Links.
Perhaps the link's gotten bunged in some way, perhaps so it points to a blank
range of the sheet instead of your live data?

What happens if you copy/paste Special/Link the content from the same sheet
onto a new slide? IOW, re-create the link?
