PPT with video and audio for a presentation--Does it work?

Office 2003 PPT.
I've been told that video and ppt do not mix well. If so, I plan to give
a pitch that uses bothk with my laptop and projector, but is there some
way to make this work smoothly? I have about 6 clips from 30 sec to 5 min.

Another related problem. It' like to play music with some of the PPT
slide. The music may be short, and I might talk to the slide longer, so
do I need to worry that the music might repeat? Any comments on using
audio in such a way? Perhaps I need another device to play it.

Video - to make things easy, use wmv files with short file names and copy
them to the same folder as your ppt file.

Audio - you can set it to repeat or not as you wish.

Good luck!
