Dear all,
I am having a small (big) problem here at work.
I need to make a ppt with about 12 pictures.
The pictures were about 2.xx MB big (as they were on the digital
camera) and I've resized them to about 50-70kb using advanced jpg
compressor.
Now as I import those pictures into the ppt, the ppt gets about 23MB
big!
I thought that normally 12 times 50kb = approx 1MB...
If I let the ppt play, the pictures are as they should be for 50kb
pictures, but why is the file so big?
I hope that somebody can help me out.

You should probably resized them (not compressed) them in a graphics prog (eg
photoshop)

you could try PICTURE TOOLBAR > COMPRESS PICTURES see if that helps.

Turn off Fast Saves under Tools | Options | Save, then resave your
presentation

There are a number of reasons this could happen. If you dragged and dropped
your images into PPT, that would be a prime reason. Another would be
"backsaving" the file as "ppt 97-2003 & 95" format.

things that can cause oversized files and what to do about them.
