I'm running PPT 2002 in XP. When I open a presentation,
and click to slide sorter, it takes up to 10 minutes
display a 30 slide presentation. I have tried opening
numerous different PPTs and it's always the same. And
yes, I have rebooted too. Any ideas?

In addition to TAJ's suggestion, I'd try changing hardware acceleration
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00129.htm and updating video drivers.

There's also a "show formatting" option on the toolbar that you can
click when you go into Slide Sorter View -- has two As on it, one small
and one large -- toggling it off can sometimes help speed things up.
You'll still see your slide titles, but PPT won't have to try to redraw
all those thumbnails if you toggle the formatting off.

At any rate, I've seen this happen, and, while I can't remember for sure
what fixed it, I *think* it was hardware acceleration.
