Hello

I am creating web pages from PPT2003, and in my original PPT file, I have
links to a few other PPT files.

I have tried converting all the files, and keeping them in the same
directory, but when I go to look at the files on the web, the links all go
back to my original PPT files, not the html files that I have created.

Do I have to manually change all the links in the HTML file to have the file
extension mht? Is there a "package for web" or something like that that
will convert all the files and the links?

thank you!
Christina

Christina,
Try converting the linked files to HTML first, then re-create the links so
they point to the HTML. Once you have done that create the final file's
HTML. (Another way to say this: Make a chart (on paper or wherever) of the
presentations and who links to whom. Then start from the ones that are
linked to, but don't link and convert them. Then move to the presentations
that link to the ones you just converted, rebuild the links and convert.
ETC.)
Post back if this doesn't make sense or need further refining....

I am creating web pages from PPT2003, and in my original PPT file, I have
links to a few other PPT files.

Download and use our free PPTools FixLinks demo at http://get.pptools.com to
check your links. To work properly, they should be path-free. In other words,
they should point to just a file name, no drive:\path stuff

In most but not all cases, you can force PPT to create this type of link by:

- Saving the PPT file to a given folder at least once
- Putting all the files to be linked INTO that same folder, and only then ..
- Inserting the files into the PPT
I have tried converting all the files, and keeping them in the same

Got a URL you can point us at?
