Hi all,
Ok I have three differnet ver of powerpoint. I am
presently using 2000 on a laptop. My question is, can I
create a autorun cd using pptviewer2003 for my 2000
presentation
or do I have to do it through the powerpoint97 viewer and
instructions?
I can play the ppt using the viewer2003 on my harddrive
but when I burn it to cd it plays fine half way through
but hangs on a slide and from that point on you have to
press a key. I cannot find any missing links? Is there
a way in pp to look for missing links?

You can use either the PowerPoint 97 or the PowerPoint 2003 Viewer for a
presentation created in PowerPoint 2000. If your presentation has sound or
video, use PowerPoint 97 Viewer!

What is unique about the slide that it hangs on? Is that the first slide
that has a sound or video file? Is there something unique about the
contents of the slide or the transition settings?

I had a animated gif so I removed it. It still hangs. I
had a sound file so I deleted it and then added it back.
It still hangs. I am using sound and animated gifs that
work fine on the other slides. Once it hung on a
different slide so I'm not sure it was that one slide
causing the problem.

Try it with the PowerPoint 97 Viewer. Your sounds won't play automatically
in the new Viewer, nor will they play across more than one slide, so the old
Viewer is better for users of PowerPoint 2000 or 97.
