T TAJ Simmons Jul 12, 2006 #2 NC Guy, I believe, on a regular shared drive,, I believe lots of users can open the same file. However, the 1st person to open the file gets to edit the file. Other users get to open the file as 'read only' - hence not allowed to make changes.
