PPT-HTML needs Active X

Tom

I'm developing presentations for IntraNet usage in HTML
format.
I export the ppt's to HTML format using PowerPoint 2002
on a XP machine.
These files will be 'played' on win98 & 2000pro machines.

The win98 machines want to download ??? from
activex.microsoft.com
The problem is not all employee's are authorized for net
access.

I downloaded DirectX9 and installed the pkg onto a 98
machine.
No change. The HTML presentations still want net access.
(after 10+ cancels, the presentation appears - no sound
or movement)

Is there a Active X pkg that can be loaded locally to
solve this issue ?
or does the PPT-HTML conversion absolutely require net
download ?

Thanks! (I hope)

Shyam,
YES, YES, YES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That did it - fantastic !
Thank you, thank you, thank you.

(ps: FYI - I posted last week an issue of HTML
presentations 'locking' on a white screen during D/L.
2 MVP had no answers. I discovered the set-up was in
manual mode (waiting for a click). Simply changing the
set-up to 'timing if present' solved this)

Again, THANK YOU!
Tom

Thanks for this, Tom. I sure had no clue what would be the problem with
the "locking" on a white screen. Glad to hear you got it figured out and
it's a pretty simple fix.
