John

I saw a tip about ceating animations on a PPT slide. The writer indicated
using frames. I searched through the Help files and still could not find
information about adding/inserting frames on a slide. How is/are a frame(s)
added to a slide?

Thank you.

Never heard of frames in PPT.

There is no accepted use of the term "frame" in PowerPoint, but I could
speculate on two possible meanings:

1. A text placeholder could be thought of as a frame--a container for text
that could be larger than the actual text boundaries. And the placeholder
can be made to animate independent of the text inside of it.

2. Applications that animate often use "keyframes" to control
moment-to-moment motion. The closest PowerPoint gets is the so-called
"Advanced Timeline" which allows you to control motion and duration by
sliding and stretching little controls that could sort of be thought of as
keyframes.

Both are pretty thin in their comparisons, but it's the best I got for you.
Perhaps others will do better...

Mr. Myers - thank you - I, too, have never heard of frames in PPT - that is
the basis for my confusion.

I suppose one possibility is that its a I-Frame from a web site???

Hi,

They can be simulated, though. I'll try to whip something up before
Christmas.
