I have several ppt files posted on an Intranet site to be
viewed in a web browser. All employees have IE, most were
recently upgraded to IE 6. Some users are saying that
they can not open them - many have Power Point '97. The
staff member who created them did so in Power Point '97 so
it seems this should not be a problem, but when they were
trying to figure this out they upgraded her to 2000 and
now she can open them. We can't upgrade everyone to 2000
at this point, are there any other options?

Thank you-
Jean

The users who can't open the PPTs ... what happens when they try? Nasty
messages from IE or PPT or Windows? Smoke and flames?

What if these same users rightclick the link, save the PPT locally and then
doubleclick the file?
