The attachment isn't opening properly because it's a *.DAT file, not a
*.PPT file. Your email program -- or quite possibly, the email program
of the sender -- is converting the file to *.DAT. What email client are
you using, and does this happen with all PPT files?

If it's just this one, ask the sender to use WinZip to zip the PPT file.
Then you can unzip it on your end. http://www.winzip.com

Thanks for reply.
But I want to open this file which is in inbox. So please
advise how to this open received file?
Kind regards

You'll need to find out why the PPT files are changing to DAT files. You
didn't answer my questions -- like what email program you're using and
if it happens with all PPT files or just some -- so that makes it pretty
impossible to answer yours.

You might try asking about this in a newsgroup about your email program.

I'm also assuming, of course, that you do have PowerPoint on the
computer, otherwise the PPT file won't open regardless.
