In the PPT FAQ at RDP, Steve mentions the importance of being sure to
you have got a printer driver installed and set as Default.
Emphasized by the fact that it should be a local printer.

Will Adobe PDF print dirve work I wonder?

Todd, I don't know if my situation is exactly like you're describing, but I
have DocuCom PDF software which installs as one of the printers. Each slide
on the ppt presentation displays as a separate page in the pdf file.

I won't swear to the PDFWriter driver, but it'd probably work.

PDFWriter's an optional install, not part of the defaults in Acrobat 5 and
isn't even part of Acrobat 6 any more. With all versions of Acrobat you get a
PS driver that goes by various names (Distiller Assistant, Adobe PDF etc..)

I'd bet any of these would be fine as the default driver.
